The unique products in the Gusti Leder studio collection are made primarily from buffalo and Cowhide leather. They are manufactured in large factories in Italy and India that comply with international production standards such as SA 8000. Two tanning processes are used: Some products are vegetable-tanned, while others are chrome-tanned to achieve particularly tear-resistant and durable results. Regular laboratory tests ensure that the limit values for chromium VI are met. These tests are conducted both in accredited laboratories in India and at FILK—the Research Institute for Leather and Plastic Sheeting GmbH in Germany.
