Goat leather is usually a bit stiffer at first, but becomes very supple and soft very quickly with regular use. Cowhide leather and Buffalo leather, on the other hand, are slightly more robust than goat leather due to their naturally thicker material. Even after some time, these leathers still feel a bit firmer in their structure, although they naturally become softer as well. This line exclusively features Gusti Leather products that are traditionally handcrafted in small family-run workshops in India using vegetable-tanned Goat leather. Meanwhile, products from the “Gusti Leder studio” line impress with their functionality paired with a modern, urban style that’s right on trend. Both the Cowhide leather and Buffalo leather used for the products in this line are chemically tanned with chrome in certified facilities in India, making them particularly durable and dimensionally stable.

Gusti Leather works exclusively with facilities in India and Italy that operate in accordance with international labor and human rights standards. To ensure the consistently high quality of our leather products, we commission regular random testing at independent laboratories and conduct unannounced visits to the workplaces to verify compliance with the contractually defined production and labor standards. In the event of violations of these standards, we act in accordance with our zero-tolerance policy and immediately terminate our collaboration with the affected companies.
